The Rusty Muskets
There was a small group of old boys sitting on their couches and thinking about
their rugby glory days. One man stepped up and said "We need an old boys
team." and he started getting the word out. Turning over the stones and getting
them off their couches and back onto the pitch.
From 2009 to that first match, Chris St. Onge was a critical leader to building up the new Old Boys Society into the Rusty Muskets. Chris made it happen for us all. He connected with many of the over 35+, scheduled the matches and even
went out of his way to get that old look and feel for the jerseys. He contacted Mike Rivers for the logo on the maroon heavy weight old school jerseys while investing much of his own money to get the program up and running.
Without the efforts from Chris, we wouldn't be able to curse him for all the pain after the matches! Thanks to Chris St. Onge for bringing the Rusty Muskets into the Springfield Rugby Football Club making it a bigger and better club for all!
