High School (u19) Rugby

Join this elite Pioneer Valley Rugby Travel Team sponsored by Rugby Club of Springfield Rugby, Inc.

Our team was established in 2007 for the development of youth and high school rugby in Western Massachusetts for area schools and community organizations.  Athletes can participate from any Western Massachusetts High School. Being a travel team, we compete in matches throughout Massachusetts and can travel or host teams from New England/New York.

This travel team is for new and experienced who want to play, compete or learn at the highest level of rugby.   

Our Under-19 rugby program is similar in structure to a high school rugby program. There are a few major differences:

• Enrollment is open to all area high school athletes, for our boys and girls teams


• No experience required


• Players will be allowed to play for an additional year based on their under-19 age status.


• This is not a high school sponsored sport. Academic eligibility is not required, however, we strongly support to academic achievements.


• Rugby is the only full tackle sport for girls offered at the high school level.


• Prepares you for collegiate level rugby working closely with area college rugby programs.
